Reading-  We will be reading The Three Little Javelina's.  The students will read 20 minutes each night on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday only.  There is a read and respond sheet in their I.N.S.E.C.T.S binder that needs to be signed every night that they read for 20 minutes.  The students will take a story test on Friday.

 

Math-  We will begin Chapter 1, which is addition.  We will go through this chapter pretty quickly and begin place value. 

 

Writing-  We will practice cursive handwriting daily.  We will work on the skill of writing a friendly letter.

 

Spelling-  Short Vowels

mix, milk, smell, last, head, friend, class, left, thick, send, thin, stick, empty, crisp, about, better, bring, carry, clean, cut

 

Language-  We will review language skills and continuing to complete daily oral language exercises.  We will take a language quiz on Friday.

 

Social Studies/Science-  In science we will be on the skill of Living Things in Chapter 4.  In social studies we will begin Chapter 2, which is Land Resources.
